Guillermina Garcia is an artist and award winning sculptress who was born in Monterrey, N.L., Mexico. She is also known as Guille. Guille's
education and experience in the arts is extensive. Guille, started painting and sculpting at the age of nine with guidance
from different private teachers and art institutions including: Bellas Artes of Oaxaca and Schoole of Plastic Arts "Rufino
Tamayo" which is also in Oaxaca. She earned a license in Architecture from the UDEM in Monterrey, N.L.
She has earned diplomas in Queretaro: Diploma of Urbanism of Queretaro and the Diploma of Real State Conservation
and Restoration. Guille studied with the sculptor Raul de la Rosa, who has encouraged her to continue to develop and
express her ideas and concepts through her art works. She also studied General Art in the best educational center of the Mexican
Republic. She studied Engraving, Lost Wax Casting, Leaf of Gold and Silver Application, and Sculpture in Silver in San
Miguel de Allende, Gto. Professionally, Guille has participated in many individual and collective expositions in
Mexico, including Mexico City, Monterrey, N.L., and Queretaro City. Her works have been exhibited internationally,
including nations such as France, Venice, Turkey, Spain, and United States. She works deeply in her own ideas and feelings that take form at the moments
of welding, melting, and painting. She uses materials of nature, such as wood, stone, steel, and of course, the
colour. In order to help communities, she has contributed some of her art
works to charitable organizations.
